Udaipur, once known as Mewar, is the land that produced a galaxy of
patriots and heroes in quick succession, people who etched the name of
Rajasthan in every corner of the world. The Mewar dynasty traces its roots
to the Sun God. Its history has been a continuous struggle for freedom of
religion, thought and land against other Rajput groups as well as the
overbearing Mughals and Muslims .

 City Palace:-

It  is one of the architectural marvels of Rajasthan, located peacefully
on the banks of Lake Pichola. This majestic City Palace is the
most-visited tourist attraction of Udaipur and often distinguished as the
largest palace complex in Rajasthan. Initially, Maharana Udai Singh built
this superb wonder, but the present form of the Palace is the result of
subsequent additions by his successors.

Fateh Sagar Lake :-

It is the second artificial lake of Udaipur, the first being Jaisamand
lake. Located in the north of Lake Pichola, Fateh Sagar Lake lies just
besides the entrance to Moti Magri Hill. Built in 1678 by Maharana Jai
Singh, Fateh Sagar Lake got its name from Maharana Fateh Singh, who later
made additions to it.

Kumbhalgarh Fort:-

 It is the second most important fort of Rajasthan after Chittorgarh.
Located at a distance of 64 kms from Udaipur in Rajasmand district,
Kumbhalgarh Fort is easily accessible from the city of Udaipur. This
unconquerable fortress is secured under the kind protection of the
Aravali ranges. Kumbhalgarh Fort was built by Maharana Rana Kumbha in the
15th century.

Ranakpur :-

It is a village located in Desuri tehsil near Sadri town in the Pali
distric of  in western india. It is located between Jodhpur and   Udaipur.
Ranakpur Temples are acclaimed world-wide for their intricate and superb
architectural style. These temples form one of the five major pilgrimages
of the Jains. Located in village of Ranakpur near Sadri town in the Pali
district of Rajasthan, Ranakpur temple lies at a distance of 95 kms in the
north of Udaipur city. The temple is easily accessible from the city of
Udaipur as regular buses are easily available. Built in the 15th century,
Ranakpur temples are known for being the largest and most important
temples of the Jain cult.
